Some purchase questions

If we buy the Enterprise version of hyperic do all the clients I have now have to be updated with Enterprise clients, or are the opensource clients the same, Or is there NO such thing as a ENTERPRISE client version software???

If I add open source clients to the ENTERPRISE server using the open source clients
is that the same as (if they exist) adding enterprise clients to the enterprise server as far as cost goes ?

Mhh, if I remember correctly you don't need to update your clients.

I think the clients are the same. The functionality is on the server side (AFAIK).

Since that's the case, I believe a platform is a platform as far as the Enterprise version goes. We just run two - Enterprise and Open Source. One for important stuff, the other for internal dev or QA systems.
