I have the server and agent installed on the same machine. I can get metrics from anyother computer, but the server comes up with a ? for availibilty. Do I have to configure something different to run the agent on the hqserver?
Have you clicked on the Inventory Tab of the agent with the ? and see if it has been configured? It should generally auto-configure through the Auto Inventory Queue.
What OS? I found that on our Linux install with the advent of 2.7.5 that for the agent running on the HQ server to be able to monitor HQ's internal JBoss that the client had to be running as the same user the HQ server was being run as. I couldn't get monitoring at all with the agent running as root.
Well when I click the inventory tab, it has all the resources found and there aren't any configuration properties to configure. We're running server 2003
