Old Data in HQ Version 4.1.2 (Free version)

How back can I go to see data in HQ Version 4.1.2 (free version). By default, it seems you can't see data older than 7 days. Is it possible to keep history of 1 or 2 months ?

Thanks. I will check out that link. But is it true that free version will not show any data older than 7 days (not even hourly)?

The free version keeps data forever, at least as far as I can tell. The most recent summary data is hourly, and It sums it up into 12 hour and then 24 hour averages after a week or two. We just talked about it in this thread:

http://communities.vmware.com/thread/353840?tstart=15

Although in that thread, Boris really wanted the *detailed* data for longer than 7 days 🙂

It seems like a few people I've seen randomly in the forums don't always see data "forever", but it hasn't convinced me that there's a real problem.

Have you tried setting your "Metric Display Range" in the Indicators View to "last 30 days" or something? That works for me, and thankfully in 4.x it's much much faster when I pick something crazy like last 90 or 120 days 🙂

Actually, the data is kept for 1 year by default. This can be
configured in EAM_CONFIG_PROPS table, you should see CAM_DATA_PURGE_XX
propkeys that relate to the purge intervals of each of the data tables
of different resolutions.
