New user, please bare with me

I was looking for a help for 'newbies' sort of section but alas coundn't find one.

I have downloaded a plugin package 'hyperic-pdk-4.0.2-939.zip'. This has lots of plugins in it. Where (and how) do I install the plugins?

Thanks for your patience which is no doubt a very simple question for you guys.

Hey, everyone is new at some point, right?

Sounds like you are starting at the deep end of the pool, but if plugins are where your interests are, I'd start by checking out the documentation at http://support.hyperic.com/display/DOC/Plugin+Development+Center. There is a section there on "Deploying your plugin" that should apply generically to your question.

My question to you is, what plugin in that PDK bundle are you trying to deploy? The majority of the plugins in that file are part of the normal HQ Server / Agent bundles you would use for standard deployment of the software. If you haven't done so already, I'd take a read through the "HQ Quickstart Installation" guide at http://support.hyperic.com/display/DOC/HQ+QuickStart+Installation.
