Network Change now no metrics

Hi All
we recently had a complete network upgrade and now our remote hosts are unable to send metric data nor are they able to send auto-discovery back to the hyperic server

we have ports 2144 & 7080 opened on new firewall, but we still cannot get data back from remote agents

all local agents work..

what other ports would i have to open on the firewall?

Hi goodluva,

That's it, just 2144 and 7080.

I would recommend:
- Restart the agents
- Restart the server
- Ping from the agent machines to the server machine
- Ping from the server machine to the agent machines
- telnet from the agent machines to the server machine on port 2144
- telnet from the server machine to the agent machines on port 7080

Most likely a network thing. Is the IP address of the HQ server the same after the upgrade?
If not, you will need to reconfigure all your agents, as they will be sending data to the old IP address.

If you still can't get it working, try re-installing an agent to see if the server picks it up.
