Monitoring multiple Oracle DB/Instances on single platform

I've done a fair amount of digging on the subject, and haven't found much.

We were able to get HQ 5.8 to see our first instance on the platform, and attempted to manually register the second one.

The only thing we're getting back from HQ is "This resource is turned off or has not been configured properly."

The configuration is exactly the same for both DB's with obviously different names.

The platform is Win2k8, and Oracle version is 11g.

Let me know if there's anything I can do to help you help me.

Thanks,

Alright, I believe I have gotten past the config issue.  DBA put in the wrong password.

With that resolved, my "new" instance has absolutely NO monitoring.

Is there a way to discover and monitor all tablespaces on the new DB being monitored?

Hi,

As I understood from your first post, you have two Oracle instances, that running on same Wn2k8 machine and the one of the instances were auto-discovered successful.

From your last post seem like you successful discovered the second instance.

So you have Oracle server in hyperic, but you cannot monitor tablespaces. Am I correct ?

Please attach agent.log. It'll help us to help you Smiley Happy
