Monitoring Win2003: How to monitor custom performance counters?

We have the demo of Hyperic running on windows. It is great!!!

Our app creates a few custom perf counters.
How can we set up Hyperic to monitor them?

So.... I guess I can extrapolate that any Windows perf counter can be accessed using that technique?

It would be useful if hyperic had an essay describing how to access a custom perf counter.... (the hyperic docs are generally so thorough!)

So I will have to take the time to see if this flies... (ack)
