Monitoring File Size

Is there a way for HQ to monitor the size of a file on a Windows machine? I have created service of type FileServer File, which has a Size metric, but it appears to top out at 2GB. The files I am trying to keep tabs on are currently 31GB and 150GB.

Hi,

are you running HQ Version > 3.2.5 ?
There has been a bug in prior versions:
http://jira.hyperic.com/browse/HHQ-2153

Please update and report if the error still occurs.

Thanks,
Mirko

Good catch. My server was 3.2.5, but the standalone agent I downloaded was apparently 3.2.4. After downloading the latest standalone agent pack, the correct size is being reported.

You can monitor the version of your HQ Agents version by HQ Health ( Administration -> HQ Health -> Agents), so keep them up to date 😉
