Incorrect Availability

I am seeing some strange numbers coming back from Availability. We have been doing a series of upgrades this past month, so I know the approximate availability of the servers having been upgraded. What I am noticing it either 0 downtime, or approximately 1 day downtime (1440 minutes), but primarily 0 downtime. When I check uptime via HQ I do see the day where the system went down, uptime resets to 0, even though availabiliy does not change. Typically the platforms should have a downtime of about 1 to 2 hours. Looking at the agent.log it appears to be logging a agent 'shut down' and 'starting' that would add up to the total time down on the correct day.
Any ideas as to why the Availability would be incorrect?

TIA

Is your date correct on the platform being monitored to the server (e.g. ntp)

Yes, they all run ntp and I double checked that it was running and in sync. The one exception to that was a vmware client that has issues keeping in sync, but it was noted.
Thanks

What is the polling interval for this platform?

Platform Availability -1 minute polling for half of them and 5 minute polling for the rest.
Just update to be 1 minute for all
HQ Agent availability polling - 1 minute
