HypericHQ Agent does not detect Mysql 5.5? need help?

Hi All

I've installed the hyperic version HQ Version 4.4.0 (build #1509 - Jul 28, 2010 - Release Build)

I've to monitor one of my server which has MYSQL 5.5 installed , the hyperic agent in this server can detect other running services like apache

but not the running MySQL5.5

any reason it could be?

I think you will need to install MySQL plugin for hyperic.

thanks , but I've got a existing 5.1.x MYSQL on my Hyperic server  machine and when I installed the agent on this server it's seem to detect the MYSQL 5.1.X

the problem is when i want to actually monitor the other servers which run MYSQL 5.5,

I don't see any link to do the installations.

on this link.but it jsut mentioned the configuration part where I key in the jdbc ,usr password

The MySQL 5.x plugin monitors the MySQL server using standard JDBC queries

It mentions of the plug-in.

This is what it says. If hyperic could auto-discover it, it would have done it. Do you have one more machine with mySQL? Can you confirm once by putting the agent there?

Hyperic server has the jdbc built in for its own DB so it detects it.

Yes ,I have few servers running MYSQL 5.5 , just tried to install the agent only one two machines .

1) the Hyperic- server machine I've installed the agent too (has mysql 5.1.7)

2) a Mysql 5.5 database server 

Item one agent seems to detect  there is mysql and i can see on the inventory list.

as for Item two I can see other services i'm running except Mysql.

shall I upgrade the Hyperic server to 4.6.6 and would that help ?
