Hi,
I'm quite confused about Hyperic (Open source) versions.
At Download Hyperic HQ Open Source | Hyperic V4.4.0 seems to be the most current
The headline of this forum tells "Hyperic HQ 4.5.3 Released"
At Hyperic Application & System Monitoring - Browse Files at SourceForge.net V4.6.6 seems to be the most current
V5.0 seems to 64-bit only (and trying to install 32-bit will fail: Re: Hyperic HQ Installer 5.0.0 fails to configure initial database). Correct?
BTW: What is the difference between HQ and non HQ?
Which version should I use for a new installation?
Thanks,
Roland
You're right, it is confusing and should be updated.
The most current released version is 5.0.0, which can be found in the SourceForge download site: http://sourceforge.net/projects/hyperic-hq/files/Hyperic%205.0.0/
Open source version of 5.7.0 is planned for the next few weeks.
As of 5.0.0, 32 bit server installations are no longer supported, although if you install the no-jre version, and use an external database it should work. Unless you have some limitation, the recommendation is to install the 64 bit version.
Not clear on what you mean by HQ / non HQ.
Hope this helps,
Adar
If you look at Hyperic Application & System Monitoring - Browse Files at SourceForge.net you'll see some folders with HQ and some without. For 4.6 even two folders are available.
This is just a folder name. It's the same thing.
