Hyperic Needs a VMWARE distro

can the hyperic team put together a vmware eval that can be downloaded? trixbox has one, zimbra has one, and i think it's a great way to demo the app. I can't tell you how turned off I am by trying to get hyperic just to RUN on freebsd.

Certainly - you can log in either as "hyperic" or "root" with the
password "hqadmin"

Oh by the way - what sort of issues are you having installing on FreeBSD?

nothing in particular. Just setting up Java on FBSD is a bit of a pain, then you need to setup postgresql too. It's nothing really to complain about, just when i'm evaluating a couple products (zabbix, opennms, hyperic, MOM, cacti, etc....) it'd be nice to download an appliance, run it and demo it and not have to take time installing/configuring when I just want to demo it. thanks for the link though i'm downloading it right now and will check it out.

Start the appliance and login either as root or hyperic, with the password "hqadmin".
