Hyperic Monitoring Server Reappears in Auto-discovery

Hi

I've recently installed Hyperic HQ and really like it and will be migrating over to it.

I have one small issue though. The Windows server that Hyperic is installed on constantly reappears in the auto-discovery section of the dashboard. It states the IP set has changed and when I go into the details, it seems to be implying that the localhost IP details have changed and I need to reimport it. I do this but at the next auto-discovery its back.

Is there anything I can do to stop this?

Hi,

if HQ reports changes there are changes ;-). Do you have a entry in your hosts file to localhost ?

Thanks for the response, and I accept that Hyperic is obviously picking something up. Just not sure what could be changing for my localhost config!

I do have the following hosts entries:-

127.0.0.1 localhost
::1 localhost

Its Windows Server 2008, by the way - maybe its doing something odd that isn't immediately obvious.
