- At first instance what I got was a status page indicating that Hyperic HQ is staring Hyperic HQ is starting up, please wait only on http://localhost: 7090 and it stops at 24% (starting up mail service)
- After this status page what I have then is a blank page. If I reload the web page then I get a Tomcat error:
HTTP Status 404 - /
type Status report
message /
description The requested resource (/) is not available. JBossWeb/2.0.1.GA
I have put in place the JAVA_HOME environment variable and it points to my 32-bit JRE C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin
can you please have a look at the server.log file and search for ERROR ? It would be interesting to know about the first occurrence of an error message. Or you could just attach the server.log to this thread.
i had several combined issues .. my java_home was pointing to the JRE and not the JDK i installed that.. then it was fine i downloaded and installed tomcat 6.0.29 then my tomcat wouldn't start so for it to work i had to put the file msvcr71.dll from my JDK directory to my tomcat bin directory then my tomcat was starting fine as a window service my agent finally installed and started properly and is able to connect to hyperic server. for testing reasons for the moment the agent is on the local server
it's working fine now
I no longer have my server.log file as it was too large .. but the server.log file contained a java dump file the error was along the lines of it couldn't locate the JDK installation for it be able to access it's JBOSS files
