Hyperic Agent 5.8.2 - No Metric Collected

Hello All,

I installed Hyperic 5.8.2 in Debian Wheezy (System1).

In System1, I installed Hyperic Agent through manual mode. [ like mentioning ip address, port, hyperic user name etc]

In this System, Hyperic Agent monitors and  able to get metrics and I m able to view graph.

Also availability is shown in GREEN color [Resource -> Browse].

Now, I copied the agent folder to another Debian Wheezy (System2)

I deleted contents of data & log directory.I deleted agent.scu file also

I entered the follg. configuration @ Agent.properties.

agent.setup.camIP=10.184.0.152

agent.setup.camPort=7080

agent.setup.camSSLPort=7443

agent.setup.camSecure=yes

agent.setup.camLogin=hqadmin

agent.setup.camPword=hqadmin

agent.setup.agentIP=*default*

agent.setup.agentPort=*default*

agent.setup.resetupTokens=no

agent.setup.acceptUnverifiedCertificate=yes

I attempted  to start the Hyperic Agent in System 2.

It started successfully and was auto discovered; I approved the resource for monitoring.

Only Live Exec is working. Other than this, I m not able to see the graph or any metric data value.

I am getting message like

There are no indicator metrics data to display for time period between

07/15/2014 09:29 AM and 07/15/2014 05:29 PM

Also availability is shown in GREY color [Resource -> Browse] .

I synced date between System1 and System2.

What could be the issue ?

Is it related to JDK ?

I think that all tye Agents use default JDK.

Can any body please suggest me , where I m wrong ?

What different between both machines (e.g. technologies) ?

What are you expecting to discover on problematic machine ?

Is availability for discovered technologies also GREEN ?

Two machines are of Same OS, but vary in Hardware Configuration.

I want to see all the Metrics that Hyperic Agent shall Monitor

Yes, As of now,I am able to see the Metrics.

But I am not sure, how it started working. I had already synced date Time between both the Systems.

I restarted the Hyperic Agent once, after which I was able to see the metrics.

Does Hyperic supports monitoring of CPU / Hard disk temperature ?

Nice to see that everything is working.

"CPU / Hard disk temperature" isn't supported by hyperic.
