How can I have a view on dashboard that monitors say 120 systems .

I would like to have the dashboard alert me of problems any platform is having such as availablilty. I would like to group the systems according to platform (40 linux 30 windows, and
say 50 unix . But I know all these individual servers cannot be seen on 1 dashboard page.
Is there a way to group these platforms and put a indicator in my favorite resources portlet that would turn red for a particular platform group has a problem and then be able to drill down to see what server ,services.etc are down ???

You can add all your platforms to an availability summary portlet and it should auto-group them based on platform type. You should see 3 groups and a count will show up next to the indicator light and would do exactly what youre looking for.
