After some experience with nagios i am now working with the open source hyperic HQ and like it 🙂
My question is, is there an easy way to generate host-dependencies and networkmaps from within hyperic? In nagios there is a thing thats called parent-host.
So when for example a coreswitch goes down i just want to be alerted about that event and don´t care if the servers behind can´t be reached anymore.
It would also be great to see the structure of our network with outages as a map.
