So I'll address the elephant in the room - is there a technical reason that HQ does not use v6 by default?

I think it's just a matter of time before we feel reasonably assured that it passes muster. It's one thing for a couple of deployments to report it working - quite another to integrate it within the build process, announce that it's officially supported and bundle it with the installers.

Fair enough. FWIW I'm running v6u2 as well with v3.1.1.
