Freshly installed Hyperic HQ not accessible via http://localhost:7080

Hello,

I'm REALLY new to Hyperic, just heard about it yesterday. I downloaded it and installed on two different systems. It seemed to install fine, but once I get the text message telling me how to access it via browser, it never loads. Any ideas? Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've tried...

http://localhost:7080
http://127.0.0.1:7080
http://actualip:7080

One last note - This was installed on a box with Windows XP Pro and another with 2003 Server.

Hi,

did you make sure that the server has been started properly ? Are you using the installer package with the bundled Postgres datbase ? Do you see Hyperic related processes in the task manager (Postgres, Java) ?

Cheers,

Hello,

I checked processes, but don't see any of those running, so then I went to Start\Programs and attempted to start Hyperic Server/Agent. It says they're already running.

How time do you wait from "launch the HQ server" until to get out your.

On my "laptop" with WMware, my "first time" was starting over 10 minutes... During this time, HQ server don't was active.

I suggest you that try again, and check the logs until "appear" the message: "Server started ....("time to start")". (i don't remember how it is.sorry).

Are you using enterprise? When the license expires it can be less than obvious. I'd start with doing a tail on the server.log /logs/server.log
Also check server.out.

Hi,
Try with IP address which is installed your HQ server.
ex: http:// 192.168.0.39:7080

I think it will be ok
