Extended Cisco support (PIXOS and CATOS)?

The main upgrade I am looking for in Hyperic is further support of Cisco/other. Networking gear. My big thing is stuff that doesn't run IOS, PIX firewalls using PIXOS 6.x and Catalyst switches using CatIOS 8.x. These are high priorities for me as the hyperic deployer, to get running. I was curious if there is a Cisco development path that might soon incorporate these two OSes?

You should be able to monitor both with the generic "Network Device"
platform type, which monitors any IF-MIB compliant device. The
"Cisco IOS" type in HQ extends "Network Device", just adding IOS
specific memory and cpu metrics. If there are metrics specific to
PIXOS or CatIOS you need, the only hard part is sifting through the
megabytes of cisco MIBs to find them, so if you have the OIDs that'd
be most helpful!

The issue with the current way 2.6 handles CATs is that it does not label the ports, which is vital when you have large switches with 200+ ports.
