I was wondering if anyone is using Hyperic to monitor Exchange. What exactly are you monitoring? Do you have any alerts configured?
Presently, I have an alert configured for low disk space via the Total Bytes Free on the drive that holds our transaction logs. Other than that I'm not sure which items I should be monitoring...I suppose I could monitor the Send Queue and if it gets above the average (Hyperic reports 2 is the average, at the moment) then send of an alert. I high item count in the Send Queue could mean something is stuck.
Is there a way to monitor the Connectors or Default Virtual SMTP Server?
