Support for MS-SQL 2008 is in QA now. If you'd like to give the plugin a spin before official release, go grab the latest mssql-plugin.jar from:

http://hudson.hyperic.com/job/hq-plugins-trunk/lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact/trunk/build/plugins/

Note: these are the latest, potentially unstable builds. Not officially supported, but it would be great to get some eyes on these sooner rather than later.

I'm confirming that this plugin is working. I only had to add server manually because auto discover was not finding my MS SQL installation.

How do you manually add the plugin?

I grabbed the latest version of the plugin from your URL, and I dropped it into the plugin directory on the Agent. However, MS SQL 2008 was not autodiscovered, and when I went to add it manually, MS SQL 2008 was not an option.

What am I missing?

The plugin must be installed on server side too

Thanks. That worked.

I am now successfully monitoring 64-bit SQL 2008 on Windows 2008 with Hyperic HQ 4.1.2.
