Can someone supply me with a groovy script to do a simple alert for anythin

Can someone supply me with a simple roovy script that can be used to craete a alert for some data threshold .. I just need a simple script that I could use to define my own script.
down the line .

I dont know groovy and I am NOT a java person. So learning groovy is really hard for me.

Cloning is done through groovy, but to create simple script to create alert definitions is a really tough job. At least if you want script to be intelligent. It's much easier to use existing alert definitions for cloning, that create alert definition from scratch.

Another option is to use the alertdefinition command delivered as part of the CLI we are delivering with HQApi in HQ 4.1. That release is still a couple weeks away, but I think it should do exactly what you need.

I downloaded the tar file .. Where do I extract it to .Do I have to put this is Hyperic servers
HOME directory ?? before extracting ?
