Hello,
I installed the Hyperic HQ agent for AIX on one of our AIX servers. I believe I configured the agent correctly because the agent connects to the monitor at startup.
hq-agent.sh start
-n Starting HQ Agent...
hq-agent.sh status
HQ Agent is running (PID:577554).
Current agent bundle: agent-4.0.2-939
Server IP address: 10.11.14.61
Server (SSL) port: 7443
Agent listen port: 2144
However, the monitor does not recognize the AIX agent. I can add the AIX server manually, but only as a network device, so it wants to talk SNMP. My Linux agnet works properly, and the monitor automatically discovers it and recognizes its properties. Is there something I need to do differently for the AIX agent?
Does anyone else monitor AIX servers and have ideas?
