vCM - Greater than 5 ESXi Hosts?

Anyone know what the story is for support beyond 5 hosts?  I like the tool, but it's rather limited at a 5 host maximum.

Can you speak to which product your are asking about?

All things being equal, vCM is capable of handling up to 50 ESX(i) hosts per vCM Collector.  This is dependent on the hardware vCM is currenlty installed on, but that's a pretty safe number to use.

Could you possibly be talking about the Compliance Checker?  If so, then yes....there's a limit of 5 ESX(i) hosts for the checker.  This is by design.

If your not leading way, the scenery never changes.

Sorry for not being clear.  I wasn't aware of the vCM product line until looking into the vSphere Compliance Checker.  I understand that there is a hard coded 5 host maximum for the checker.  What I would like to know is if there are plans to increase this artificial limit.  It's a great simple tool.

No, there are no plans to increase this limit in the Compliance Checker for vSphere tool.

Robert is correct.  That functionality will exists in VCM:  http://www.vmware.com/products/configuration-manager/overview.html

Cheers!
