the deleted vApps in vCloud Director, shows up in Chargeback reports

As part of daily administration, we happened to delete a few vApps in the Organization VDC in vCloud Director.

However, when Chargeback pulls reports for this particular org VDC's, it still has the entries of the deleted vApps even though it shows the cost as "Zero".

Why is it that Chargeback picks the deleted vApp entries from the vCloud Database via Cloud Data Collector ??

The above behavior very much seems to be a BUG in the Chargeback application, Can the Chargeback DEV team please look into this issue ?

Thanks,

Deepak

Hi Deepak,

If the report is generated with a start date less that the vApp deletion time, CBM will report costs of the vApp between report start time and vapp deletion time. For example, if a vApp is deleted on 5th Sept, and a report is generated from 1st Sept to 10th of Sept, vApp costs from 1st to 5th Sept will be reported. However, no costs should be available after 5th Sept. Hence, if a report is generated from 6th Sept to 15th Sept, it will not show the deleted vApp under the org vdc.

If this does not help, please open a support request.

Thanks,

Piyush
