Hello
I speak French so I'm sorry if I make some English mistakes.
I'm using Vcenter Chargeback and I've got a little problem to use it.
In fact, when I want to create a new hierarchy, I've got a message, that says to me the data collector isn't enabled. When I go to Settings>data collectors, I can't see any data collector in the list. I choosed to install it with chargeback, so I don't understand why I haven't got any data collector in this view ...
Can somebody help me ?
Thanks
Hi
Do you see the data collector service under installed services? Was there any installer issue?
You could install additional data collector by downloading from UI and point to the same Chargeback database.

Hemanth

How do I process to see the installed services ?
there was a installer issue. I choosed "install a data collector", but nothing happenned.
I tried to dowload it with tools>download data collector but I've got the same view at the end..
By default The installer for the data collector is bundled with the application and can be downloaded from the vCenter Chargeback application.
1 Log in to the vCenter Chargeback application.
2 Click Tools on the top-right corner of the page.
3 Select the relevant data collector download option from the Tools menu.
If you go to the Windows Services(services.msc from Start>Run), do you see the various Data Collector Services like Embedded,Cloud Data Collector..etc?
I also see that the Last Synchronize Time is dating too old. Basically hinting that the Service is not initialized.
Since these collectors internally trigger API calls within Chargeback, and you mentioned you had issues during the install,I would suggest a clean install again on a fresh Windows machine(preferably), just to make sure every component within Chargeback talks to each other.
My two cents,
Amit

Could you let us know what was the issue? What error you saw while installing? Installer log files would also help here.
all is okay. I called the vmware assistance and I simplely forget to install the Vmware tools..
