Integration CB 2.0 and vCloud Manager 1.5?

Hello!

We use CB 2.0 and vCloud Manager 1.5.

We installed the vCloud Director Data collector and the vCloud Hierarchy was automatically created but it does not show the single VMs (Win-Test-Sys-01 ..02..03) for the Cloud Ressources ..only the vApp Folders  .

here the same in vCenter

vapp2.PNG

Is it also necessary to set up the vcenter on which the vCloud is managed in Chargeback (At "Add and edit vCenter")?

Hi,

Yes. You need to add vCenter server to Chargeback, which vCloud is managing.

Regards,

Hemanth

Hi,

Yes, it is necessary to add the vcenter on which the vCloud is managed in Chargeback.

You can find this details in a note in Chargeback Manager's User guide(https://www.vmware.com/pdf/cbm_users_guide_2_0_0.pdf) on page 26.

Adding the note here for your reference:

NOTE   Only the vCenter Chargeback Manager related events are processed by the Cloud Director Data
Collector. To update the vCloud Director Org hierarchies in vCenter Chargeback Manager, the corresponding
vCenter Server must be added to vCenter Chargeback Manager and the vCenter Chargeback Manager data
collector must be running to synchronize the vCenter Chargeback Manager database with the vCenter Server
database. If the vCenter Chargeback Manager data collector is not installed or is not running, then the changes
will not be processed and the changes in the vCenter Server and the vCloud Director Org hierarchy is not
accounted for in vCenter Chargeback Manager.

Thanks,

Piyush
