We run McAfee Move as well. We've set up all the exclusions and even involved McAfee. While i don't think that is the cause, i won't say don't look into it. From my testing the delay only occurs when UEM is running on the VM. I'm leaning towards an issue with the VM communicating with the windows fileshare that has the data.
After a long while talking with ESX support, i don't think its a hypervisor issue.
