The error is as follows:
The problem certainly arose when the VM was moved from one disk to another and maybe it wasn't a full clone.
As I have already reported in another post, I can rename a VM, but the file structure is the same as the initial one.
So, there are folders and files related to disks that have names different from the one assigned to the VM.
By cloning VMs and with snapshots the problem is amplified and confusion reigns supreme.
In this case I have a Win11 VM called "Win-System" and the structure which still refers to a generic VM named "Win10 pro x64".
It is not easy to find the file you are looking for because all the VMs derived from the initial one have identical file names.
Returning to the problem, for Win10 and Win11 the product key is normally stored in the motherboard, but in the case of a VM where is it saved? Is it directly recoverable?
Maybe by reinstalling Win11 from the ISO I can recover it.
Otherwise I lost a license.
