It seems that initially after installing the composer, the installation file has been deleted. This is the only reason you are getting the error.

As a workaround:

  • uninstall View Composer Application 6.2.2 only from Program & Features  ( NOTE: Do not remove or delete the Composer Database)
  • Re-install View Composer Application 6.2.2 again pointing to the existing Composer Database.  ( This will make sure you have the installer file)

There after you can perform the update.

NOTE: Even though Composer DB is not touch, please take a backup of the composer database prior performing the action plan.
