We know that tools are common across all platforms, and that support is driven by esxi (since it's the big $), so having it depreciated there is a solid sign that depreciation, followed by desupport, is coming for other hypervisors too.
People who use XP for anything really should make solid plans to migrate off it. Especially if they're using it on Fusion.
