I experience the same problem with VMware® Workstation 16 Pro 16.1.0 build-17198959.
Also happened with version 15.
I have a RHEL 8.3 host and a Windows 10 Enterprise guest with only Windows Defender.
Happens when renaming files on a shared folder.
