I've been unable to install the converter agent onto a Windows 2000 server. Initially I tried remotely and encountered an error 1603 which I believe is a generic windows installer error.
So I moved the VMware-converter-all-4.3.0-292238.exe to the Windows 2000 server itself and ran the exe there hoping to install the agent. However, when running the exe I encounter "VMWare vCenter Converter Standalone requires Windows XP or later."
Windows 2000, Service pack 4.
1.2Gb free on C: drive, 25Gb free on 
Running from the local Administrator account
Have removed server from domain (it's now in it's own workgroup)
Have applied latest MS updates.
Rebooted.
Same error.
Would appreciate any suggestions.
