we have a cluster of 14 hosts. All hosts have a 4-port 1Gbit network card. We use standard switches on the hosts with LACP. We recently bought the 10 Gbit cards. Our switches support 10G infrastructure. Our idea is to create a distributed switch parallel to existing standard switches, create new vlans and then switch all VMs one by one. Would that work like this? Can the distributed switch be created and configured without problems during normal operating hours?
