use case of when you would need to add a new service to the ESXi Firewall I have been playing around with solar winds, some other third party monitoring solutions which required specific ports to be authorized. Well I had to add the same in the firewall settings.
Can you confirm if this solution works for you?

Well, if I understand it correctly, your query is that will the fix in the patches be cumulative. Eg. Fix1, Fix2 and Fix3 are there for kernel, if you have applied Fix3, does that include the Fix1 and Fix2. The answer is Yes. The patches for a specific vib does contain its previous fixes also.  But again, this is for specific vibs alone. HTH, zXi

When I copy by scp vmdk file whot have 60GB and vm used 4GB I will must transfer all 60GB? Is there some option do it other way? I thnik OVFTOOL copy only what VM used. Actually ovftool is intended to save you from all those file copy and blah blah troubles. When you scp an ovf vmdk file, it might be thin-provisioned, but on scping, it might extend to be a thick disk apparently leading to a higher storage. My advise might be, have the ovf vm in a windows machine which is not a part of the destination server. Then using either ovftool or from vSphere client, deploy the ovf which will be the easiest method.

Well, it could mean that the iso is not boot configured.. Secondly, if your nic card is set as primary boot device and you have a valid pxe scenario, this might as well happen. Do change the boot order in your VM bios by pressing "Esc" and change the order
"/bootbank is missing" is in the log files.... Can you confirm if this system has been applied any previous patches and the reboot has been done when requested earlier??

Greetings and welcome to the communities. As far as from the latest drivers provided by VMware, the WiFi cards are not supported. This leaves us the option of giving a PassThrough to the VM using DirectPath You have to enable VT-D in your BIOS> processor configuration if its an intel and  IOMMU if its an AMD processor and provided your nic card is supported under VMware VMDirect supported hardware :smileysilly: http://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-11089 while a lot of hardware not-supported still work under DirectPath, you should make a try to see if your card works

I am not asking to disable HA, I am suggesting that the vm power on settings is enabled by HA by default, so any new vm which does not match the HA requirements is not allowed to power on. Right click on cluster> ClusterFeatures>vSphere HA> Check Disable :"Allow VM Power on operation that violate availability constraint. Could this be a problem of vSphere ? This could not be the problem of vSphere. But it is a feature in vSphere.
As long as vmhgfs is not installed in your VMs during tools installation in 5.0, copy/paste between vms is not enabled by default

So now, a single LUN of 300GB is presented to your ESX, while the first 200GB has been already registered by ESX, and the remaining 100 is not allowed for increase. If the same lun of 200GB has been extended, then you might want to try to unmount the LUN and re-add it after rescan. unmount is available from 5.0 version. If the data in 200GB is of not-critical, then you can unmount the lun from storage side and assign the lun back to the ESX and of course rescan after tat
