and remember that shares in resources pools are not inherited by the VMs in pools. the shares is related to the pool itself.

I agree: two esx hosts with 8 gig of RAM (I would prefer DL 385 or something else with opteron...) just some advice: - do not clone Citrix TSs but create a new server and subsequently remove the physical from pools. Newly created Citrix VMs perform well (cloned Citrix VMS do not perform as the physical machine from where they were cloned) - create 2 additional VM for DCs (one DC VM for each host), move FSMO roles in the new DCs and demote the physical one (will be a smooth transition instead of cloning a DC, and you can do it in working hours) If you have budget get a SAN... EMC / DELL rebrander CX3-XX series will do the work :). The server will have 2 onbouard nics. add one four port Nic or, better, 2 bi-port NIC for redundancy (2 three port NICs if you want iSCSI) Regards \aleph
