Hi harlee, I suspect the following marked (red) item to be the reason. [ExcludeFolderTrees] <AppData>\Teams\logs <AppData>\Microsoft Teams\logs <AppData>\Microsoft\Teams\media-stack <AppData>\Microsoft\Teams\Service Worker <AppData>\Microsoft\Teams\Application Cache <AppData>\Microsoft\Teams\Cache <AppData>\Microsoft\Teams\tmp <AppData>\Microsoft\Teams\meeting-addin\Cache <LocalAppData>\Packages\Microsoft.AAD.BrokerPlugin_cw5n1h2txyewy\TempState <LocalAppData>\Packages\Microsoft.AAD.BrokerPlugin_cw5n1h2txyewy\AC\Temp Can you put a hashtag (#) at beginning of that line to exclude this (line turns green) and double check using a clean profile? Don't forget to save the config file before checking . #<AppData>\Microsoft\Teams\Cache

It is best to change the auto-save location to either a mapped (personal) drive or a (personal) UNC path. Microsoft Office Auto-Recover Locations – The Hidden Bits from Facility Innovations If a user loses his/her VDI session, auto-save info/files will not be lost, which however is the case when you leave the default auto-save locations, and the session is not properly logged off or the office application isn’t properly closed. After changing the auto-save path(s) to network location(s) , you can exclude them from the DEM config files for Office.

Yes indeed, I mean an optimized local default profile in the master image. It is perfectly possible to use an optimized local profile. I use OSOT to optimize the local default profile in the "master image". Each user logon will use this default local profile. You can use them in both non-persistent and persistent environments. If your machines don't fully reset after logoff, but you want to have the local profile removed after logoff, you can use the DEM Advanced ADMX setting "Remove local profile at logoff" --> https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2145286 Clean start with DEM --> Don't forget to disable roaming profiles for the users logging on to the desktops that use DEM and must not use the roaming profile--> Techland: How to: Disable Roaming Profiles Migration from roaming profile --> It is possible to leave roaming profiles enabled (side by side with DEM) when you want to migrate to DEM. This way the roaming profile is used and settings may be written to both DEM profile archives (ZIP) and the roaming profile. After a while you can disable roaming profiles. By default I also enable the "Display highly detailed status messages" GPO setting --> https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-verbose-status-message-windows/ . This doesn't necessarily speed up the logon process, but gives you and the user additional info while logging on and in my experience seems faster for the user, instead of just showing "Preparing Windows". I also remove all run and run once stuff on both machine and user level. Instead, I choose what needs to run for the user during/after logon by using DEM. Same goes for Active Setup keys. I normally just remove them, unless really required for something. In that case I choose to add the Active Setup config file template in DEM to save the changes made by Active Setup. This prevents Active Setup from being executed every time a user logs on. Regarding OneDrive, here's an article that may help you --> VDI Onedrive Windows 10 - Virtualblog.nl What version of Windows are you using? I hope this helps you a bit further. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi JamesMartin8383, The default Start Menu layout (tiles) can be created using the before mentioned article (read the Create a Default Start Menu Layout for All Users part) and make sure you import StartLayout.xml only once using UEM. I recommend using either a default local user profile or an optimized mandatory profile (assuming you are using non-persistent desktops). The IncludeRegistryTrees, etc. can be done on the Personalization tab. Assuming you already have the Windows Settings folder, right click this folder and click Create Config File Select Use a Windows Common Setting and click Next Select Windows 10 Start Menu - Windows 10 Version 1703 and higher (assuming you have Windows 10 v1703 or higher) and click Next Give your config file a name, for instance Windows Settings - Start Menu and click Finish You now have a new config file that contains the settings that you want to have saved for the users. Because this is a built-in template you don't see the settings that are saved and restored for the user. If you want to see the settings click the Manage button and click Expand. Click Yes You will now see the settings that are saved and restored for the user. You can use this content as a starting point and add additional registry keys, values, files, folders. For instance the ones I provided in my previous answer. I hope this step-by-step helps you getting started.

Hi Douglas42Adams, In this case Procmon (https://live.sysinternals.com/ ) and RegShot (https://sourceforge.net/projects/regshot/) are your best friends. I prefer RegShot over Procmon in for this occasion. It does a snapshot before (the change) and after and compares the differences. I would recommend to do a capture before the application starts and after the application closes and then run the compare.
Why not use a script to launch/start both applications and publish that? Or do you have any specific requirements/dependencies?
Yes you can. See below link: Import ADMX Templates
Yes that is possible. Simply point to the required UNC path.
Hi Dominik, Yes this is possible. See below.
Hi Dominik, There's a GPO setting for UEM that allows resetting multiple profile archives at the same time. See below.

Here are the steps and the configuration I use for saving FTA's. This supports user chosen FTA's, FTA's from the settings menu (control panel) and FTA's configured by UEM (using run once). You are configuring it in the wrong location. The page you are configuring it is used for specifying the parts of the user registry and files/folders of the profile that need to be imported/exported when a user logs on or off, or when an application is launched (DirectFlex). You have to use the tab "Predefined Settings" and click "Add". 1. Specify a "Name" for the setting 2. Choose a "Type" for the setting, carefully read the description of each setting to choose the correct one for your situation. 3. Click "Create", this opens the Windows Explorer 4. Open the "Registry" folder 5. Right click the file "Flex Profiles.reg" and click "Edit" 6. Add the content as specified in the picture below and save the file. 7. Close the Windows Explorer window and click "Done" 8. Click Save This should be it.

You are trying to import a "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" registry key, which is machine level. Most likely (by default) your user doesn't have permissions to add registry keys/values to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE". If you have to configure this settings on computer/machine level, try putting this setting in a computer GPO. Not sure, but according the web site below it is also possible to configure it per user. https://getadmx.com/?Category=Chrome&Policy=Google.Policies.Chrome::HardwareAccelerationModeEnabled&Language=en-us [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Google\Chrome] "HardwareAccelerationModeEnabled"=dword:00000001 In that case you can use UEM for that, although I'm not sure if UEM can import a key/value in the \Software\Policies path. But, the best option, I believe is using the Chrome ADMX, import this in UEM and configure the correct setting. Set Chrome policies for devices - Chrome for enterprise Help If you need further assistance, please let me know.
