Hello All, I use ESX 3, with Vcenter 2 , and I got something very strange, which is: Under Virtual Machines window on the V center Client, I noticed that some of the Vmachines are using a lot of resources while they are powered off, for example: one of the machines is using (Host CPU- MHz 1240, Host Mem 1050, and Guest Mem – 92%). So please advise me if you have come across this issue before. Many thanks. Regards

I have upgraded from ESX v2.5.2 servers to ESX v3.0. Then upgraded the VM's hardware and VM Tools, all upgrade went ok apart from one VM I had an error message when I tried to update the vm too... See more...
I have upgraded from ESX v2.5.2 servers to ESX v3.0. Then upgraded the VM's hardware and VM Tools, all upgrade went ok apart from one VM I had an error message when I tried to update the vm tools, which is "[b]Error:1714.The older version of VMware Tools cannot be removed[/b]". The CD is pointed to the right direction, and the user name privilege has the admin access but still having this problem Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks for your co-operation Kind regards

thanks guys, its been resolved after rebooting the server twice so thank you very much actually,i got an error messege: "The virtual machine is not supported on the target datastore" when i try to power on a Vmachine after being migrated from esx2 to esx3 on a an upgraded datastore vmfs3 so if you got any idea. kind regard.
