Try getting the logs from the etherenet switches then. They will show totals for the time of the logs. Worth a try. DB VMware Communities Moderator

From the commad line - run "esxtop" and use the "d" (disk option). You'll be able to see the IOPS then. DB VMware Communities Moderator

What type of storage is it? What path policy are you using? Is disk resignaturing enabled? DB VMware Communities Moderator

Looks to me like the paths are "flip-flopping" (Technical term). Are you using mru or fixed pathing? Is the falconstor an active-active or active-passive configuration? Usually this happens when the wrong pathing type is used (default is mru). DB VMware Communities Moderator
Did you upgrade the firmware/BIOS on the older host? DB VMware Communities Moderator

I'm going to move this thread to the ESX Installation and upgrade forum. DB VMware Communities Moderator
This is a pretty common error if the VirtualCenter service isn't running on the server. Verify that the service is running? DB VMware Communities Moderator
You could also do a "esxcfg-info -w | more". This will limit the output to hardware. It will tell you the hba type and model etc.... DB VMware Communities Moderator
My guess is that ESX doesn't play well with other installs on the same disk. Reformat and try the install then. DB VMware Communities Moderator

You should have seperate zones for each initiator to target (One port to another to get an ITL). Having more than one initiator to target in a zone will/may cause failover interuptions. The DS requires fixed pathing since it is an A/A rig. Hopefully I read you posting correctly DB VMware Communities Moderator

A handy cli command is "esxcfg-mpath". This will list out all the info that you should need (including LUN ID). Example of usage would be "esxcfg-mpath -l | more". And then try to match things up. I've done some testing recently with ECC 6.x - it will corolate the virtual and physical aspects for you (Very expensive product). DB VMware Communities Moderator
Is there a newer BIOS available for these host servers? DB VMware Communities Moderator
Try uninstalling/removing the plug-in and then reinstall it again. I remember seeing this during the beta. DB VMware Communities Moderator
What version of ESX did you upgrade from? And - can your current version of VC handle this new build of ESX? DB VMware Communities Moderator

You are correct - you would have to use the Cisco SANTap or Brocade FAP solutions to do replication at the ESX lun level. The Journals are not replicated (They are the working area for the replication prcesses and where the "Snaps" are held at either end). There are 3 vulume types (Repository, Journal and replication volumes). The repository is specific to a RPA site, journals are per consistancy group and replication volumes are specific to hosts. Depending on how many snapshots you will need - that will dictate the sizing of the jvols. You can do local and remote replication with RcoverPoint. DB VMware Communities Moderator
Don't panic - it'll reconnect. One thing that I have learned with this product (and many other) is to be patient DB VMware Communities Moderator
