Hi Scott, did you open a case with the eql team? Its a know problem with no solution yet.
hi, thanks, do you have errors on both array`s? Which version of the firmware are you running? I started to get the errors after i upgraded to 5.
Thanks, but its on 3 array's that means 6 controllers which all have the problem. So i dont see how will help...
yeah we had the same issues with lost path`s, only a server reboot could solve that. As you said, we are running the latest firmware...

Hello, we have a cluster of eql's which all give errors on the ETH1. The EQL's are connected to a series of dell servers with intel nic's through a stack of PC62xx dell switches. The vSphere hosts are configured with the setup script of EQL in combination with their mpio module. The switches are on firmware version 3.2.1.3 The eql`s are on firmware version 5.0.2 vSphere is version 4.1 update 1 There are some vm`s which also have a connection to the san through the ms iscsi initiator On the dell switches flow control is enabled aswell as jumbo frames. Dell already exchanged some of the switches but that didnt help. All cables have recently changed. I have no idea where to go with this. Somebody gave me the tip to look at flow control on the esx hosts and within the vm`s Now i know where to find it within the vm for flow control but have no idea if that can be configured on virtual switches.. regards Hans

Hello, I was wondering if i read this correctly: VSS application level quiescing for Windows 2008 R2, enabled via the version of VMware Tools that ships with vSphere 4.1 does that mean that for example vdr can make consistent Exchange backups? regards Hans de Jongh

Hello, Last friday we installed update 1 for vcenter server 4.0 Yesterday we installed vmware view 4.0 in the same enviroment. Now my LDF file is growing insanly fast. Up to 5GB in 20 minutes.. Our enviroment is small: 7 hosts 70 vm`s My database is 7GB. I have no idea why this is happing. Is there also a way to start over with a new database without loosing my settings (I dont care about performance data). Regards Hans de Jongh

Hello, A colleague just returned from his vmware install and configure training. the teacher told him that TPS isnt working with windows server 2008/2008 r2 because microsoft encrypted the memory. That is new for me, does anyone have more information on this or did my colleague mis understood it. Regards Hans de Jongh
same here, i have a win2k8 r2 3gb extra memory (total of 4). No CD attached.
so the packets are sended through the vshield with a vlan tag?

Hi, I`m kinda stuck, will this work? Lets asume i have followed the manual of vshield. So i`ve got 2 dvswitches, one has a protected dvport group and the other one an unprotected dvport group. The protected dvportgroup has vlan trunking 1-400 and the unprotected dvportgroup has vlan access 300 Now on the dvswitch with the protected dvport group i make 2 other port groups. Testdvport1 and Testdvport2. I both give them a vlan, testdvport1=vlan200 testdvport2=250 Will traffic from a vm in testdvport1 be able to connect to a machine in vlan 300 but not be able to reach the vm in vlan 250? I`m thinking about this because i want a to create a backup netwerk where it is impossible for the differtent vm`s (in a different dvportgroup) to reach each other execpt for the backup server.
