Hi I am using custom install using a 2012 Server with 32 gb of memory and plenty of disk space. DSN has been created and I am able to access the database before installing vcenter. The database server is a SQL 2012 server. (All are physical servers no vm's) All components install like a charm until the last step of the vcenter server, the screen in the first post becomes stale, when i check the VC services it just stays as Starting... then if i test the DSN it will not work I will not be able to get connected to the database. SQL 2012 server is part of a windows clustering, also on the sql 2012 server the feature "Always On" is enabled, according to our dba though the VC database is not setup for "Always On". Are there any requirements i should be aware of trying to do this install? Is it a Microsoft Cluster issue? Is it a SQL 2012 issue?? I need to know what needs to be enabled or disables or modified on either the SQL server or the way the SQL server is set up on the Windows Clustering. Suggestions? Is anyone else encountering this same issue? I have a support ticket open, but all i am being told is to call them back once i get the connection back to the sql server!! Great Help! VMware Support!!

Is SQL Server 2012 "Always On" supported for VMware vCenter 5.1 ?? Pros? Cons?
I am hearing good things about 5.5 SSO when will it be out??
TheoSmit, can you tell us the outcome of this, I am finding myself in a similar situation but not with SRM, SSO. I have seen those errors in the log files as well. Thanks
Did you set both CPU and Memory?
Hari, I cant help with this at least not yet, but if you dont mind what SRA did you use?? I'm in the mist of setting mine up now. Thanks,

I have setup two sites each with its own vcenter and sso setup with linked mode. Now to replicate the SSO's data I need to manually export and import the information. Is there an easier way of doing this? Seems silly that an admin will need to do this manually periodically. Is there a script or a scheduled task that can be setup to do this automatically?

SiteA Primary node, SSO and all has been installed and configured. SiteB Backup, all but SSO has been installed and configured. SiteB connected to SiteA's SSO - Linked Mode. Tested everything seems to be working, I can see both sites via the Web and Thick Clients. My concern is if SiteA goes down or off-line I will not be able to access SiteB. Do install SSO at SiteB as well? Setup a new db for SiteB SSO? So SiteA SSO db RSA and SiteB SSO db RSA2? A little confused here... Thoughts? Advice? Thanks in advance.

Thank you, told you it was a quick question. I just totally forget about that site. The fun of the install will start very soon... I'm sure headaches too! Thanks,
Quick question, one which I am not see a definitive answer for. Can I install vSphere Center Server 5.1 in Windows 2012? Thanks,
Well, i finally got in and i am up and running again though i had to sacrafic my vm's, moved the keyboard around to a non 3.0 usb connection, and i was able to finish the install.

Gleed, I m going stright into the console, I'm booting into the installer via USB. I thought it may have been my keyboard and changed it as well but to no avail. Once the installer gets to that second screenshot i posted above i notice the Num Lock light on the keyboard turns off and that is it for the keyboard. All i need to is have access so i can continue the reinstall. Not sure what else to try...

Thanks for the write up Kyle. The thing is this was an existing build which was working just fine until last week when power was lost and seemed to have messed up my USB with error 33 inconsistent data. I found many blogs suggesting to create a new media which i did, but i am stuck with the above issue now. I can't continue after the third screenshot above because i am unable to use the keyboad. I thought i read somewhere that it stated that the raid needs to be redone?!

I got hit with same error 33 after a power outage. Okay no problem, I read the posts create new media (USB) but now it does continue but once the yellow screen starts I lose the keyboard and I can't do anything. I recreated the media several times same results. I m running a shuttle white box which has been running for over a year with no problem. I can't figure out what the problem may be. Any suggestions?  I use a USB keyboard no ps2 ports. As I said before the machine was running just fine for over a year. THanks in advance.
