ohhh...I have to go to the option of copying virtual machine files then. I looked at vcenter and I found that I am able to copy the files from one host to another although there is no shared storage. One more question: besides the file with the extension vmdk, what other files shall I have to copy over as well? Please advise. We are running vCenter 6.5 and esxi 6u2. Thank you very much!!!!

I already added the license key but somehow when I reconnect the host to vcenter, it wont let me. But anyway, after I removed the host from the vcenter and then re-added it back, it worked.
The license for the esxi host expired, which caused the disconnection. I did disable vmotion. But when I tried to reconnect to vcenter, I still got the message saying that I need to remove vspher...

The license for the esxi host expired, which caused the disconnection. I did disable vmotion. But when I tried to reconnect to vcenter, I still got the message saying that I need to remove vsphere motion and vcenter agent for vmware host. What did I miss? Would you please advise! Thank you!
