I found the answer in another topic which explained it well https://communities.vmware.com/t5/ESXi-Discussions/Size-of-vmdk-File-in-DatastoreBrowser-not-the-same-as-in-busybox/td-p/1644185

Hi there I tried to download a ....delta.vmdk file from the datastore via the html5 webbrowserinterface of the vcsa and the the download option of that folder in the datastore. I selected only the file I wanted to download and then started the download. The download startet but did not just download that 1024KB file but something else too. I stopped the download at 250MB downloaded. In my understanding the download / the downloaded .zip should only have a size of more or less of that delta.vmdk file. Or am I wrong there? Thanks for help and suggestions! Regards
Thank you. Yep that is what I was thinking already. I reached out to VMware support they have an KB for that already. https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/86399

Thank you @alantz Yes the VM is on one of the ESXi of a cluster. Seems I do something wrong. Native Key Provider is backed up an active: Next I create a new VM with that settings: After that I try to add the vTPM via the "new pci device" dialogue and get the error: I have absolutely no clue what I do wrong. Do i need other settings for the VM? Does my vcenter need some more configuration I am not aware of? Do need my hosts something that is missing?

Hello If I want to add an vTPM to a vm I get that error message: A general runtime error occurred. Key provider vcenter.kms is not compatible with the host myhost1. Reason: "TPM2 device is required." What does it mean? My vCenter (version 7.0.3.00100) has the default keprovider (native) configured and acitve. The host (ESXi 7.0.2) is part of a host cluster. Cluster setting show that the default vCenter KMS is used on that cluster.
