That is a really good point.  Sorry about that screen shot, it was just a quick example I threw up and I see now I was too quick running through it. I have even tried simply adding a new hard disk, saving it, then removing it without deleting and then trying to add it back.  I get the same results of not being able to save and it not showing things correctly.  Here is a better screen shot.

I just double checked and looks like I am on the latest version.  It has me wondering about downgrading back a few versions, but I have not done much research on that yet.  My first post above probably made it look like I had an old version, but that is what ESXi shows me from the original Dell image.  I installed that 6.7 image and then recently updated to the latest version. I did end up manually editing the vmx file to add the existing SATA drive I had and it worked fine.  Just would get pretty annoying to do it that way each time.
That was my thought too.  i tried on two different computer web browsers with chrome and internet explorer.  I just tried it on edge now too.

I recently updated to the latest version of 6.7, (Updated) DellEMC-ESXi-6.7U3-17167734-A08 (Dell).  Now I notice something odd when i try and add an existing hard disk.  I get the image below and when I try and I click save nothing happens.  I must cancel it. To further understand this I tried the same thing on different VM's (Linux and Windows), different storage controllers (SAS and SATA), different VM hardware versions (6.7 and 6.7U2), and different browsers (Chrome and Internet Explorer), and even on another R720 with the same ESXi version and all get the same results of this odd looking image above that will not save. This worked fine on the older version of 6.7, and I am not sure how to resolve this issue.  My only other thought is to edit the VM file manually which I am not great at, but will probably be going that route until I know a better solution.
