I need to reinstall the plug-in for ops man into vCenter, any idea how to do so?
How could the script be modified to include vLAN ID's?

I know, I know....  I shouldn't have but I did, I lost my root password on two of my 4.0 i hosts.  I actually think it was changed and no one knows to what.  Only these two however. So, I know how to change an ESX "classic" by going into single user mode, however, I do not see the opportunity to do the same with 4i.  Anyone have any idea how to change a root password on 4i?

OK, so I have just over 600 VM's already but will be doubling that within 12 months, if not sooner. (vSphere, about 45 hosts) One issue I am having is MAJOR inconsistency with how VM's are build. We have about 12 people who could build VM's and although we use the configuration templates there is still a lot of variances between how people build VM's. Some of the big issues I have are with naming, RAM, CPU, disk size, but also notes and other items we want to collect and/or standardize. Short of setting down the law, punishable by a public flogging, does anyone know of any configuration/build tools? I am thinking of something like a wizard that would ask specific questions and REQUIRE specific information. I am however VERY flexible. Before I create something new I wanted to check with everyone else. Does this make sense? I am just looking for the VM's being built to be consistent from one to another. What does everyone else do to keep VM's consistent?

Has anyone heard of the event in Sandusky Ohio in August called Knowledge Share 2009 Conference? It is being held at the Kalahari resort and my understanding is it is free to attendees. Basically it is a virtualization get together. Check it out at: http://www.ks09.org

Anyone know if there is a way to restrict several VM's to only two hosts that are part of a cluster with many? I have a cluster of about 10 ESX hosts (3.5 u2) and I need to keep about 10 VM's on two of the 10. I would rather not make a separate cluster just for these two hosts.

Anyone know if you can still do SSH? I followed the instructions and I get some message like not authorized. I have the very latest greatest ESXi hotfixes. Any thoughts? The whole reason for needing SSH in my situation is that I hear I can use VCB (san) along with vRanger to backup my ESXi boxes. Does anyone have any ideas/thoughts on SSH and/or backups of ESXi.
