your Q1 : I think that an update in vCenter to the latest version available and compatible with my license (6.7) could solve the problem. What do you think? Could it affect my virtual machines (approximately 25 VMs) installed on the hosts? and  1. Please login VMware portal with account id. if its missed pls find bill or contact VMware account manager. they can assist you to reset credentials. Q2 : I have the license applied to my vCenter but I don't have it noted. Who installed it was another person who is no longer in the company. I need to get this license somehow. Do you have a command that can get that license number through a command via telnet? 2. You can find license details in VMware Portal once you logged, download VC and install It again if you did not using dv switch. You can chose any VC version 6.x subject to License with you.

Evaluation License used for 60 days only. if you used running  more then 60 days ESXI Host. I believe its conflict with it.  ESXI hosts can run as standalone but once you added hosts to VC. License validation start.  Solution: old ESXI host need to reset in DCUI and wipe all old configuration settings. Re-configure as fresh ESXI host. then you can add for 60 days under evaluation period.  how to reset configuration : https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/7.0/com.vmware.esxi.install.doc/GUID-AD450DA3-881B-4916-9231-9B6998AAC3AA.html Please check VMware Evaluation License for more details : https://www.vmware.com/try-vmware.html

What i understand you installed ESXI host in workstation as vm. it means your esxi base is windows server. as per best practice . hardware must be configure with GMT and allow to reset time if OS required. in this case, windows not allow to change time requested from vm (Esxi host.). I believe due to 2 OS conflict with ntp . Guest OS given you wrong time. please disable one of NTP service. than check it. It might be works.

I agreed with VMware response, You have 6 CPU licenses with one VC, you must use VC to take advantage of all available features. vCentre can manage Resources management to utilize maximum hardware benefits . you have option to shutdown VC any time if you face any performance issues on prod VMs due to lack of recourses. Good Luck.
