Under Business Group Edit, When I type in "domain" and hit the search, it only pulls up a couple of users, and not any groups.  If I put in the FQN of the group, it pulls up nothing.

This workaround doesn't appear to work.  Typing in the FQDN to the box, and clicking add, it says to correct the highlighted errors, and the box named is highlighted, however there is no way to add data to it directly without the search.
I appear to have the same issue with my 6.1 install. It was working in 6.01, and with the upgrade to 6.1 I am seeing the exact same symptoms.
It works fine from the local machine's desktop.  From my machine using IE, which has been working fine for over a month, I get the above behaviour. Checking the IIS logs shows no errors.

Has anyone seen this before?  I'm logged in as an admin.  No matter what role, I get this error.  This is a single tier installation.  I have tried rebooting the VM as well. All VCM services are running.  Windows Host VM is Server 2008 R2.
All you need to do is go to VCOPS admin page, and configure the connection to the VCM DB server.  That's it. Then go into VCM and run some vCOPS badge runs, etc.
any help here?
I am running Hyperic.  When looking in the hyperic portal for that host, I don't see Print Queue in any of the data groups.  Is that something I need to add?
Is it possible to monitor, trend, alert on Windows Print Queue Length?

There isn't really anything to screen shot.  The domain is setup with windows authentication, and the domain name.  When adding the user, I browse to the user, select it, and click check names for good measure.  If I add an individual user, that works.  If I add a group, that doesn't work, or PARTIALLY works.  One of my group members when the log on, only gets about 10% of the inventory coming up in web client.
If I add my domain account specifically to the permissions settings on vCenter, it works.  If I am just a member of a group, which I have verified case on, it doesn't.  SSO 5.5 is WHACKED!
I'm having very similar problems. 5.5 SSO issue
I have tried to remove the AD related group, and re-add it via the web interface, and that still doesn't fix the issue.
Neither of these suggestions have helped. I am able to log in via the VIClient just fine, however the web client is reporting the error.

Hello, I just upgraded from 5.1 to 5.5. Now when i try to log in with an AD Account to the Web Client, I get an error "Not authenticated with Inventory Service".  When I log in with the administrator@vsphere.local account, it works fine.  I've tried removing and re-adding the AD identity source with no luck.  I've tried restarting the inventory service, no luck. Any ideas?

Yes.  Database Free Percent.  Hyperic today is reporting 81%.  SQL Management Studio is reporting 3%. I'm waiting on some screenshots from the DBA.

I am having an issue with Hyperic 5.8.0.0 I have the MS SQL driver installed and working.  I have the agent installed and working on an MS-SQL 2008 Server. One of the metrics, "Database Free Space" is reporting 90 some percent.  When I look in SQL Server Management Studio, it shows around 3% for the database. What gives here?

I can't help but agree with this post. If we are doing away with the VIC, the web client must have at least the SAME or BETTER functionality as the VIC.  That's what we expect from a company like VMWare.  The current web client is just garbage. Flash?  Yes, that horse is dead.  Please, please, please, HTML5 the next go round.  Don't put yet another web based tool out there that requires some off version of Java that is going to break tomorrow when the next two releases of the JVM come out. Let's face it.  The VIC isn't always the most reliable tool.  There is room for improvement, and room for a web base vCenter management UI to really shine.  I hope that with whatever product that is released in 2014+, the web client in its current form is scraped, and replaced!
