This can help! "in your case you have vSphere HA with number of host failure to tolerate as admission control policy set. that means system is going to calculate CPU and Memory slots out of available resources in your cluster, and from those total number of slots, it will keep some resources as reserved for failover and remaining are going to be available to be used. All depends upon how many hosts failure that you want to tolerate." MARKED AS CORRECTED LINK: who can help me with "Insufficient resources to satisfy configured failover level for vSphere HA" Raul. For testing - try a very small HDD & check if you see the full size - If Yes! then, I would recommend checking (1) BIOS, (2) RAID controller generation (3) HDD's are all at their most recent firmware. "To work around this issue, configure multiple logical volumes of the  maximum size (2TB - 512 bytes) using the hardware raid-controller  firmware. You can dynamically add new extents to your VMFS datastore to  increase the VMFS volumes capacity using smaller logical volumes, to a  maximum of 64TB" Raul. You should not install an antivirus software on VMware vCenter Server unless you have to. * VMware vCenter Server requires access to predetermined TCP and UDP ports to function. * vCenter Server constantly updates a number of log files. * vCenter Server also relies on multiple config and binary files to function correctly. * If these files and folders are being monitored or scanned by the anti-virus software, then this may cause performance issues with vCenter Server or cause the service to fail. Just because you don't have that many, you can do this manually. * Backup the data from all the virtual machines manually * Copy all the virtual machines folders into an external HDD "Use vSphere Client" * Paste all the virtual machine folders into the new datacenter\datastore. (physical location )  "Use vSphere Client" * From the new datacenter\datastore right click the .vmx file from the VM folder & "Add To Inventory" * Power on the VMs & modify the settings of the guest OS's network for the new environment. An opinion! Ok! Unfortunately NTP and virtualisation does not go very well together. clients are ok in most cases, however NTP server generally won't work reliably on virtual server. NTP servers should always be on physical hosts. You should have at least 3 of them peering in a pool. EXAMPLE: For example, if a physical machine loses 12 seconds every 30 days, NTP can compensate for that and does so very well. But if that machine can lose anywhere from 4 to 70 seconds every 30 days, NTP isn't so good at tracking that level of change. If you absolutely had to use VMs for this, I'd set up no less than three such NTP servers. Each of those needs to be on a different host, and if possible in a different data-center. They need different time-sources and should peer with each other. Then configure all of your NTP clients to use all three as Parent sources. Raul.
