Hi! I'm one of the co-authors of the InventorySnapshot fling, and unfortunately, this is a known bug in the fling. You'll have to manually recover DVS settings and re-attach hosts and VMs to DVswitches. If we get time, we'll try to fix it, but in the future, we are considering alternate ways to save and restore this state. In vCenter 5.1 and beyond, for example, there are API calls to export and import DVS functionality. We are also considering alternate methods of migrating an inventory. I'm sorry I couldn't help further at this time. We'll see what we can do in the future. Thanks!

Hi kgottleib, We are working very hard on improving the performance of the Web Client--believe me, we realize this is a pain point. At the risk of asking a somewhat incendiary question, may I have ask for some more details about what sorts of things you don't like? Is it all based on performance, or are there other aspects of usability that you specifically don't like? Thanks very much for your time and patience.
